Oberursel is the ideal starting point for hikes.

Most hiking trails start from the hiking car park Hohemark (also U-Bahn final stop of the U3).
The Mühlenwanderweg and the Keltenrundweg are signposted with information boards for history and local history.

The circular hiking trails Altenhöfe, Troutgut, Hünenburg, Empress Friedrich and Laubwald & Heide are hiking tips from local experts.

The Taunusklub 1878 Oberursel e.V. has three local and nature-friendly circular hiking trails with a total length of 28 km marked with R1, R2 and R3. Start and end points are easily accessible by public transport.

    Starting point: Wanderparkplatz Hohemark | Course: around 10 km | low gradients | in the Oberursel city forest | Refreshments: Waldtraut the leisure restaurant

  • R2 | Maas reason:
    Starting point: Oberursel station | Course: approx. 8 km | in the western city area around the Maasgrund | Refreshments: restaurants in the city center

  • R3 | Forellengut:
    Starting point: Wanderparkplatz Hohemark | Course: approx. 10 km | low gradients | in the Oberstedter forest and north of the city | Refreshments: Forellengut or Waldtraut the leisure restaurant

The Taunus landscape with its hills and forests is an Eldorado for cyclists and mountain bikers.

The hiking car park Hohemark is an ideal starting point for tours to Feldberg and in the Hintertaunus. Many trails are signposted here and not only good for mountain bikers.

Signposted overland cycling routes run through the entire urban area of Oberursel, showing cyclists the way to neighboring cities and beyond.
These bike routes run on paths that are either not or only very rarely used by motor vehicles.

"Putter's Paradise"
The first "adventure golf course" in the Rhine-Main area.

The sometimes hilly paths lead over obstacles such as streams, a pond and small rocks, height differences must be overcome.

The tracks are designed so that even wheelchair users can play.

There are two paths on the 17-hole course, one light and one heavy, as well as a putting green, where the putter can be trained.

Four people can play per track.

Oberursel – Sandplacken – Großer Feldberg – Altkönig - Oberursel

This circular walk is perfect to get to know the beautiful Taunus area better.

The route starts in Oberursel and goes over Sandplacken to the Great Feldberg and over the Altkönig to Oberursel back. The paths and paths are partially graveled and sometimes only small trails in the forest.
